On November 20, 2013 at approximately 7:40 a.m., Ptl. Mark Stanish was utilizing his Mobile Data Terminal in the North Beach section of Long Beach Township when he received a “hit” that a passing vehicle’s registration was expired. The registration was for a green GMC van which had just passed Ptl. Stanish traveling north bound on Long Beach Boulevard. Ptl. Stanish conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle on East Bergen in Harvey Cedars. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver, 36 year old Eduardo J. Rosa of Long Branch, NJ for an outstanding warrant for $70.00 out of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Ptl. Stanish transported Mr. Rosa to Long Beach Township Police Department where he was issued summonses for Operating an Unregistered Vehicle and Unlicensed Driver. Mr. Rosa posted bail for the warrant and was released with a new court date. Mr. Rosa’s vehicle was towed. Sgt. Sean Marti of the Harvey Cedars Police Department assisted.
