Issuance of a beach buggy license will not guarantee entrance into the Federal Wildlife Preserve, Beach Haven Inlet.
BE AWARE THE SPEED LIMIT ON ALL BEACHES IS 15 MILES PER HOUR
Beach Buggy Fees are not refundable. Permit $50.00

Any entrance may be changed or closed due to beach conditions. PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY, in order that this privilege may continue. Township beaches are open from October 1st thru May 15th.

Monday – Friday from 07:00am to 06:00pm
Saturday from 9:00am to 6:00pm
*Sunday No Work – unless work is being done by the homeowner and does not require a permit.
Motor Vehicle Law 39:4-204
The Chief of Police of each municipality in this State shall issue to any person who has temporarily lost the use of one or more limbs or is temporarily disabled as to be unable to ambulate without the aid of an assisting device or whose mobility is otherwise temporarily limited as certified by a physician or podiatrist… a temporary placard may, however, be renewed one time at the discretion of the issuing authority for a period of not more than 6 months duration. The placard shall be displayed on the motor vehicle used by the temporarily handicapped person. A vehicle which has displayed a placard is allowed to park overtime or in a designated handicapped parking place.
The Chief of Police can ONLY issue temporary placards, permanent placards are issued by the State MVC. Both applications can be obtained at Long Beach Township Police Department
