If requesting a police report, you must fill out an Open Public Records Act request form – click here, and records personnel will process your request.

$0.05 per page

If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, please follow these instructions:

Contact your insurance company and follow their procedures.
If you need a copy of the accident report you may obtain the copy by completing the Open Public Records Act request form as outlined above.

If your vehicle was towed you may call the tow company. If your vehicle was impounded & towed you must contact police headquarters PRIOR to picking up your vehicle.

On occasion, drivers involved in motor vehicle accidents are issued summons for a motor vehicle violation. A court date is listed at the bottom of the summons. If the “appearance required” box is marked, YOU MUST APPEAR ON THAT DATE. You have the right to consult with an attorney prior to your court appearance. If you wish to plead not guilty, you must notify the MUNICIPAL COURT at least five (5) days in advance.
